Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the Services for a school, district, or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. School authorization and accounts

The Services are designed for authorized educational use. Schools and districts determine which staff and students may use the Services and are responsible for providing accurate roster, schedule, and account information.

• Keep account credentials and shared-device access secure.
• Use only accounts assigned or authorized by your organization.
• Notify LesserLabs promptly about unauthorized access or suspected misuse.
• Do not allow a student to create or use an account outside the school-authorized educational context.

3. Acceptable use

You may use the Services only for lawful, authorized educational and school-operational purposes. You may not:

• Access data or accounts you are not authorized to access.
• Use the Services to harass, discriminate, surveil improperly, or endanger another person.
• Upload malicious code, probe security controls, disrupt the Services, or bypass access restrictions.
• Reverse engineer, resell, copy, or redistribute the Services except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Use student information for advertising, unrelated profiling, or any noneducational commercial purpose.

4. Student and school data

Schools and districts retain their rights in data they provide to the Services. LesserLabs processes that data only to provide, secure, support, and improve the authorized educational service, as described in the Student Data Commitments and applicable school agreement.

Schools may request access, correction, export, or deletion of their data. Parents and students should normally submit education-record requests through their school so the school can verify identity and applicable rights.

5. LesserLabs intellectual property

The Services, including software, product design, documentation, branding, and original content, are owned by LesserLabs or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms provide a limited right to use the Services; they do not transfer ownership.

Feedback may be used to improve the Services without obligation, provided LesserLabs does not publicly identify the person or school that supplied it without permission.

6. Service changes and suspension

LesserLabs may update the Services as school needs, security requirements, and technology change. Access may be limited or suspended to address security risks, unlawful activity, material violations of these Terms, maintenance, or termination of the applicable school relationship.

Schools should maintain appropriate operational alternatives for time-sensitive workflows. No software service can guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Third-party services

The Services may use approved third parties for functions such as authentication, email delivery, networking, and hosting. Their services may be governed by separate terms. LesserLabs remains responsible for selecting and managing its service providers as described in the Privacy Policy and Student Data Commitments.

8. Disclaimers and limitations

To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” LesserLabs disclaims implied warranties that cannot be reasonably provided for developing software, including uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the extent permitted by law, LesserLabs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Services. Any negotiated school or district agreement may provide different warranties, remedies, or limits and will control for that customer.

9. Changes to these Terms

LesserLabs may update these Terms. Material changes will be identified by a revised effective date and, when appropriate, communicated to participating schools or account administrators.
